Events can be queued for a later day, so a calendar entry or a rumor may not be active yet. Confirm it before you move stock.
The newspaper tells you which shelves to watch this week. A harvest makes food cheaper, a treatment-plant failure sends customers looking for water, and a Security crackdown squeezes the Black Market. Customer requests run alongside the news as delivery jobs with a fixed item, count, deadline and Credit reward. Treat events as signs of changing demand rather than price promises, and check the current offer before you commit stock.
Events can be queued for a later day, so a calendar entry or a rumor may not be active yet. Confirm it before you move stock.
A headline points at a kind of goods. Inspect the current offer, because an event is a sign of demand and never a fixed price forecast.
Event entries carry negotiation information for the goods they affect, so an active shortage can help at the bargaining table. Not every headline works as a price argument.
Each row names the event, what it changes and the stock worth watching while it runs.

Recurring obligations rather than news. They arrive on schedule whatever the paper says, so keep cash back for them.
Rent and the mortgage →Announces the week's winning number. At least three matching digits win a prize. Redeem with the lottery representative or double-click a winning ticket. The notice names no prize amount.
A unique event with its own suspicious-goods customer, so it is more than station gossip.
Hand him over and the arrest makes the station news as a unique event of its own.
The wanted list →These cosmetic stories change nothing at the counter, even when one mentions Food, Water or a strike. The garden article says it is unlikely to affect Food prices, and the brief maintenance strike is already over when you read about it.
Evening locations run their own one-night events. They change search conditions, access, workshop offers or restocking, and none of them promises a guaranteed find, so read the location panel before you walk out.

Marketplace requests are delivery jobs, not ordinary sales: stock you sell elsewhere does not count toward one. The ledger runs from best pay to worst. A blank reward is not a zero, so read the live request for its current terms.

The reward is set per job, so where a delivery goes matters as much as what you carry. These pairs come straight from the ledger above.
The Lower Levels charity clinic pays 60 Credits, the Upper Levels hospital 100 and the Black Market 360. All three give you the same 3 days.
A Lower Levels repair pays 350 Credits and an Upper Levels pool repair 500, each with 3 days on the clock.
Missing Evidence Locker pays 400 Credits and Stolen Evidence Locker 700. Either way you have 3 days to find one.
Pet Food pays double the meat's 159-Credit base value and allows 14 days, so it suits a rat run that is already butchering.
Set the stock aside and inspect its condition and labels. Goods sold to a walk-in customer no longer count toward the job.
Loose ammunition may not count as separate items, so read that job's rule before you plan around rounds.
Use the completion action before the deadline. A request does not resolve by itself at closing time.
Requests made in dialogue depend on that character's story progress and can follow their own rules.
