Character
Sawyer
Sawyer speaks for the Lower Levels Janitorial Staff, and his first visit sets the terms: shopkeepers do not clean their own storefronts. Pay the crew or regret it. Keep paying and he later lets you in on the crew's side business, the Underground Exchange.

Business with Sawyer's crew
| Deal | How it works |
|---|---|
| Janitorial service | A fee for keeping your front clean. It doubles at −40 Black Market standing (Blacklisted). |
| Underground Exchange | Drop the items on the crew's list in your trash bin, use the janitorial service, and a reward waits by morning. Security does not see these trades. |
| Butcher hunt | Once the Butcher's threat note arrives, Sawyer can offer the crew's help from the next day, which unlocks Butcher Hunting through Joe Wild. |
Worth knowing
- The Exchange list changes every few days, and each accepted barter adds a fraction of a Black Market point.
- At −40 Black Market standing you are shut out of the Exchange as well as paying double for the cleaners.
