Faction
Security
Security buys from you, inspects you, fines you and, once its case is big enough, arrests you. It is also the one faction you can raise without selling anything, because reports, passed inspections and the gun under the counter all pay out in Security standing.

Worth knowing
- The Model Citizen and Convict starting perks put you at +30 or −30 here and scale every report and Aug figure by 1.5× or 0.75×.
- Petition to Security, inflicted at −60 with the Upper Levels, doubles every Security loss on top of everything else.
- Since update 049 the officer arrives the morning after an investigation completes, and a record lowered into fine territory by then no longer ends in arrest.
- Officer Lun's side business in surplus equipment at 33% off can end with Lun arrested for selling gear missing from the Armory.
